In June 2005 Pakistani Govt placed Mukhtaran Mai on Exit Control List thereby preventing her to fly out of Pakistan. ANAA had invited her to USA to honour the brave women who fought against all odds to get justice for her and therby became an icon of hope for women in Pakistan.
